The limit switch EGS80 allows to control 2 limit values via 2 relays. Connectable are force transducers and load cells with 0/4...20 mA output signal. The housing is prepared for top hat rail mounting.

Application

In combination with load cells or force transducers the limit switch EGS80 is utilized in weighing and load control in hoisting devices, cranes and more. Connectable are 2- and 3- wire sensors as well as active sources with 0/4...20 mA-signal. The input monitors cable breaks and short-circuits on the line and the internal sensor supply is 24 VDC with max 70 mA. The outputs are 2 relays, an active 0/4...20 mA power output and a RS-232-interface. The power output is adjustable freely. The measured values are shown on a small LCD display, it is possible to choose between 17 units such as kg, t, N, bar, and so on. Usually the switch is not pre-adjusted and the customer connects it to the force transducer and also adjusts it. Operating and setting parameters is done through the control panel at the front or with help of the free computer program. The software can also be used to create a data file of the parameters. The file can be saved and installed in any EGS80 limit switch. This is very time saving in case that several switches need to be adjusted. Cables with "SUB-D9/25 to TRS connector" or "USB to TRS connector" are available. Those allow to connect the switch to a computer.
