Compact Power Hub Pepperl+Fuchs
Four or Eight Segments / Small in the Cabinet
The compact Power Hub is a modular power supply that consists of a motherboard for DIN rail installation and individual power supply modules. Motherboards provide the following selectable attributes:
- Four or eight segments
- Single or redundant power supply modules per segment
- Screw or spring terminals, always with retaining screws
- DCS connections via special connectors or manufactured custom cables
- Grounding bar for easy connection of shields
Output power per segment is up to 30 V/500 mA. This redundant power supply features an extremely compact design with low heat dissipation. The Compact Power Hub is the first choice for any project, particularly when weight or cabinet space are key success factors.
Compact Power Hubs are approved for installation in Zone 2 or Division 2 hazardous areas. A choice of power supply modules with different ratings in combination with suitable device couplers enable all common methods of ignition protection at the field device, utilizing the high-power trunk concept. They are flameproof enclosure Ex d and intrinsic safety Ex ia, Ex ib, or Ex ic acc. to FISCO/Entity for any hazardous location.
The Compact Power Hub features symmetric impedance generation for optimal signal quality. Impedance generation is based on passive components only, which guarantees low heat emission and a long service life.
The motherboard is designed for DIN rail installation and vertical installation of cable channels for efficient wiring. All modules snap onto the motherboard without using any tools. In redundant configuration, the power supply modules can be replaced without interrupting the power supply or communication.
The optional advanced diagnostic module enables easy monitoring of many quality indicators of the fieldbus physical layer. This allows faster plant start-up, improved reliability of the segments, and more efficient troubleshooting.
