Zone 1+21: Optionbox OB31

Optionbox OB31 allows data transfer over long distances between the host PC and industrial workstation. Up to 2 km distance can be bridged by means of fiber-optic cable. DSL copper cables allow distances up to 1 km.

OB31 is approved for Zone 1+21 (ATEX and IECEx) and have a stainless steel housing for use under harsh conditions. Installation options are floor mounting or wall mounting using a bracket.

Additionally the optionbox OB31 can be used if the distance between the operator workstation and safe area is too long to allow installation of a 24 VDC supply line. It supplies 24 VDC into the hazardous area and is powered by mains voltage and suitable for VisuNet operator workstations.

Zone 2: RJ Switch

The RJ Switch allows data transmission over a distance of up to 180 meters by means of copper cables. The RJ Switch is certified for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas according to ATEX. It is equipped with 5 ports to connect multiple receivers. For more technical details visit www.amphenol.com .
