Optionboxes OB11 and OB31 can be used if the distance between the operator workstation and safe area is too long to allow installation of a 24 VDC supply line. They supply 24 VDC into the hazardous area, are powered by mains voltage, and suitable for VisuNet operator workstations. Both optionboxes are approved for Zone 1+21 (ATEX and IECEx) and have a stainless steel housing for use under harsh conditions. Installation options are floor mounting or wall mounting using a bracket.

The optionbox OB31 allows data transfer over long distances between the host PC and industrial workstation. Up to 2 km distance can be bridged by means of fiber-optic cable. DSL copper cables allow distances up to 1 km.
