AS-Interface Safety at Work is a safety-related extension of the AS-Interface and is simply integrated in an existing AS-Interface network. All standard and safety components are activated in parallel via the same cable so that you can integrate safety-related functions such as an EMERGENCY STOP or door monitors in your existing system.

In order to evaluate safety-relevant signals, you will only require one additional safety monitor that uses dynamic code sequences to reliably communicate with the Safety at Work components. Installing an AS-Interface guarantees compliance with safety category 4 according to EN 954-1 and SIL3 according to IEC / DIN EN 61508.

• Only one bus line required to transfer safe and unsafe data

• Diagnosis of safe modules possible via a standard AS-Interface master
