ION SIMATIC S7 PN Siemens

Область применения
The ION SIMATIC S7 PN allows numeric data to be read out cyclically from a SIMATIC S7‑300/S7‑400 PLC and transferred to an industrial PC containing the SIPLUS CMS4000 X-Tools analysis software. The CPU of the PLC must have an integral PROFINET interface.
Обзор
The ION SIMATIC S7 PN (PROFINET) is a function block for data acquisition from a SIMATIC S7‑300/S7‑400 PLC with PROFINET CPU:
- Provision of measured data for further processing in combination with the SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools software (this analysis software must be ordered separately, see "Analysis Software" → "SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools")
- Integrated into the controller user program
- Cyclic data transfer of measured data to the higher-level industrial PC via Ethernet
- Processing of communication via integral PROFINET interface of the CPU
Дизайн
The ION SIMATIC S7 PN function block is integrated in the user program of the SIMATIC S7-300/S7-400.
The Ethernet connection required for data transmission is established via the integral PROFINET interface of the CPU.
The SIPLUS CMS X-Tools analysis software is installed on the higher-level evaluation PC and is not included in the scope of supply (see "Analysis Software" → "SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools").
Способ действия
The data to be acquired from the SIMATIC S7‑300/S7‑400 is selected by configuring the ION SIMATIC S7 PN function block in the SIMATIC S7.
The function block is initialized in the startup OB of the PLC (OB100, OB101, OB102). During initialization, the number of active channels is determined, the cycle time imported, and further calculations made for operation. The channels are filled with data in the program of the SIMATIC S7‑300/S7‑400.
The function block is then executed passively in the program. Data exchange with the analysis software on the industrial PC only starts after being called in a time interrupt OB (e.g. OB35) by SIPLUS CMS4000 X-Tools. The data is visualized, analyzed and archived there.
The signals are collected in two buffers for transmission and then sent to SIPLUS CMS4000 X‑Tools with relative time stamps. Each buffer can accommodate 712 bytes. With 178 active channels, one buffer serves as a send buffer and the current values are written in the other one. The buffers are read and sent alternately.
If not all of the channels are activated, multiple cycles can be buffered: With 89 channels, a buffer can save two cycles, and a send job is therefore only initiated after two cycles. The communication load is thus reduced.
From the point of view of SIPLUS CMS4000 X‑Tools, the ION SIMATIC S7‑400 T001 is the Ethernet device that communicates by means of UDP/IP.
Функции
The use of an ION SIMATIC S7 PN function block enables transmission of max. 178 channels per recording cycle of the controller. This corresponds to a data volume of 712 bytes. If this volume is insufficient or if the cycle time is very small, several function blocks can be used in the user program.
The number of channels and their content can be freely configured and combine several signals (e.g. 1 word signal and 16 bit signals).
