The ION SIMOTION T001 allows numeric data to be read out directly and cyclically from a SIMOTION PLC and transferred to a higher-level industrial PC containing the SIPLUS CMS4000 X-Tools analysis software.

The ION SIMOTION T001 is a function block for data acquisition from a SIMOTION controller:

Provision of measured data for further processing in combination with the SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools software (this analysis software must be ordered separately, see "Analysis Software" → "SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools")

Cyclic data transfer of measured data to the higher-level industrial PC via Ethernet

ION SIMOTION T001 consists of two function blocks integrated in the SIMOTION user program.

Data is transmitted via an Ethernet connection.

The SIPLUS CMS X-Tools analysis software is installed on the higher-level evaluation PC and is not included in the scope of supply (see "Analysis Software" → "SIPLUS CMS X‑Tools").

The data to be acquired from the SIMOTION is selected by configuring the ION SIMOTION T001 function blocks in the SIMOTION controller.

Cyclic data exchange with the analysis software on the industrial PC starts after being called by SIPLUS CMS4000 X-Tools. The data is visualized, analyzed and archived there.

From the point of view of SIPLUS CMS4000 X‑Tools, the ION SIMOTION T001 is the Ethernet device that communicates by means of UDP/IP.

The use of an ION SIMOTION T001 function block enables transmission of max. 171 channels per controller cycle. This corresponds to a data volume of 684 bytes. If this volume is insufficient, several function blocks can be used in the user program.
