PROSINPLUS tool breakage and tool wear monitoring

The low-cost PROSINPLUS software permits direct access to the current values of the digital drives of the machine tool. If a tool breaks, the current of the associated drive changes; this value is increased in the case of a blunt tool. With PROSINPLUS, additional sensors and even complete monitoring units can be omitted.

A particular highlight of PROSINPLUS is the reliable detection of wear on rough-machining tools. This assumes mass production in which the batch size is significantly larger than the number of working tools.

PROSINPLUS is patented according to EP 1 276 027 and its derivations.
