The SIMATIC IPC477D is designed for use directly on the machine in tough environmental conditions, where the combination of ruggedness and maximum reliability is a major priority (the reliability of an embedded platform) and the openness of a PC is also required (e.g. connection of I/O devices such as printers, keyboards, etc.).

The compact and versatile SIMATIC IPC477D PRO operator terminals can be integrated perfectly into many machines or production and automation systems. Thanks to the low-profile design, it can also be used in confined spaces.

The PC is used in both factory and process automation, as support-arm or pedestal-mounted versions.

The SIMATIC IPC477D is the ideal platform for PC-based Automation:

The IPC477D PRO in 19" widescreen format extends the portfolio of glass-fronted devices. The rugged aluminum housing of the SIMATIC Panel PC enables it to be used directly at the machine and guarantees durability, even in harsh and extreme operating environments.
