CP 441-1, CP 441-2 Siemens
Область применения
The CP 441 communications processor is used for fast, powerful serial data exchange over point-to-point connections, off-loading the CPU from communications tasks.
Point-to-point connection is possible, for instance, for:
- SIMATIC S7 and SIMATIC S5 programmable controllers, and systems from many other manufacturers
- Programming devices and PCs
- Printers
- Robot controls
- Scanners, bar code readers, etc.
The communications processor come in two versions:
- CP 441-1:
With one variable interface, for simple and low-cost point-to-point connections. - CP 441-2:
With two variable interfaces, for high-performance point-to-point connections.
Обзор
- For fast, high-performance serial data exchange via point-to-point connection
- 2 versions:
- CP 441-1 with 1 variable interface for easy point-to-point coupling.
- CP 441-2 with 2 variable interfaces for high-performance point-to-point connection.
- Plug-in interface modules for different physical transmission properties:
RS 232C (V.24), 20 mA (TTY) or RS 422/RS 485 (X.27) - Implemented protocols: ASCII, 3964 (R), printer driver;
for CP 441-2 additional RK 512 and Modbus RTU (reloadable) - Simple parameter assignment using tool integrated in STEP 7
Дизайн
The communication modules have the following mechanical features:
- Rugged plastic enclosure
- LEDs:
for displaying "Send", "Receive" and "Error". - 1 (CP 441-1) or 2 (CP 441-2) slots for plug-in interface modules. Interface modules for the physical transmission media RS 232C (V.24), RS 422/485 or 20 mA (TTY) can be plugged into the slots
The CP 441-2 and CP 441-2 can also be operated in expansion racks. However, transmission of the K bus signals must be guaranteed here.
Drivers
Different loadable drivers are available for the CP 441-2:
- Modbus:
For communication according to the Modbus protocol with RTU format:- Modbus master; master-slave interfacing with SIMATIC S7 as master.
- Modbus slave; master-slave interfacing with SIMATIC S7 as slave, message frame traffic from slave to slave not possible.
The two serial interfaces of the CP 441-2 can be operated independently of each other with different standard protocols or loadable drivers together with the V.24/TTY/X.27 interface modules.
Функции
User-friendly functions make the communication modules flexible and cost-effective:
- Different transmission protocols:
- 3964 (R), for connecting Siemens devices;
- RK 512, for connecting computers (only for CP 441-2);
- Printer drivers, for controlling printers;
- ASCII, for the easy and variable connection of third-party devices;
- For CP 441-2 additional use of Modbus RTU possible (reloadable drivers)
Parameter assignment
Parameterization of the CP 441-1 and CP 441-2 communication modules is especially user-friendly and simple:
- STEP 7 tool for communications configuration:
The user uses the communications configuration to define which protocol driver is to be used or which driver-specific properties are to be used. - Parameter assignment via the CPU:
The PG is simply connected to the CPU. Communication with the CP takes place via the C bus.
The configuration data is saved in a data block, which is saved in the memory card of the CPU. When modules are replaced, the new module is therefore immediately ready for use.
- Configuration package (on CD):
With electronic manual and parameterization input screens. As of STEP 7 V11 (TIA Portal), the necessary parameterization input screens are already integrated.
Configuring the drivers
The SIMATIC PtP CP Loadable Drivers Configuration Package and STEP 7 (V5.3 or higher) are required to load and configure the drivers. The drivers are copy-protected by a dongle.
