The DM 370 dummy module enables a non-parameterized S7-300 signal module to be retrofitted to an existing overall configuration. It is installed instead of the signal module. When it is replaced by the signal module, the mechanical configuration and the address assignments/address settings of the overall configuration remain unchanged.
